Founded in 2012 by Jeffrey W. King and W. Joseph Cunningham, the firm focuses primarily on commercial and residential real estate related matters. With over fifteen years’ experience in development of both single family neighborhoods and high-rise condominium development, King Cunningham offers comprehensive services for the real estate developer from commencement of a project through sellout and post-construction operations.
The attorneys at King Cunningham have represented developers in some of the largest condominium development projects on the grand strand, including development of the Bay Watch Resort, Prince Resort at Cherry Grove Pier and Wyndham Ocean Drive in North Myrtle Beach, the Anderson Ocean Club and Carolinian Resort in Myrtle Beach. King Cunningham is well versed on the intricacies of timeshare development, homeowner association creation, condominium formation documentation and zoning law. The firm’s attorneys have provided counsel to landowners in the creation of numerous subdivisions, Planned Unit Development zoning districts, ordinance text amendments, variances, alley and street relocations, and other zoning and permitting petitions in Horry County, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
King Cunningham hired James P. Wilkes as an associate attorney in March of 2013. James focuses primarily on real estate transactions, providing excellent client service and attention in these areas. James works closely with real estate agents, lenders, buyers and sellers to ensure a positive closing experience for the parties as well as professionals involved in a transaction.
In 2015, Richard "Stewart" Miller, Jr. joined the firm as an associate attorney, after clerking for the Honorable Cynthia Howe, Master in Equity for Horry County. Stewart's work focuses primarily on timeshare and real estate matters, including judicial and non-judicial foreclosures.
